Just For Kix- Competition at OneTrueMedia.com

Here are the winning performances from today.

More Dancing

What a fun morning.  Ellie participated in her second Just For Kix dance competition today.  Teams from MN, Iowa, Illinois, and Nebraska competed.  Ellie's kix team got 2nd out of 5 and her jazz team got 3rd out of 5.  I don't have a photo to show- but her grin when she heard they got 2nd place was the kind a mom never forgets!

Spring Break

This past week was our school's spring break.  Sam had informed he hoped we would not be spring cleaning since I make him clean every weekend. (haha)  I guess I listened because we played with friends, rode bikes, visited the Mall of America, and played more.  I even read books, watched movies from books that I've read, and fit in a couple of movies and a dinner out with Dave.  In fact I think I need tomorrow off to clean and do laundry- oh well that will be done another day- I'll get Sam right on it.

Hello from Hercules!  Sam was giving Herc a treat and captured this picture.  I love how his "smile" shows.  Herc is getting old and I regularly comment on how annoying he is.  This picture reminds me of why I fell in love with him a long time ago.
I am such a lucky Mom.  I have two kids who love school- well okay let's be honest Sam was super excited to have a sick day today and glad he could stay home tomorrow, but really he does like school.   March 1st they celebrated Dr. Suess's birthday by having a reading breakfast.  I was able to leave my school and enjoy some school time with the kids.

Ellie and one of her favorite teachers, Mrs. Olson-yes the teachers dressed up in story character costumes.
We had a fun weekend of family time.  We started by going to Rochester to watch the Austin Packers Boys Basketball team win a great game- off to state tomorrow!!  Saturday I watched Ellie dance and then we headed to St. Paul.  All dressed in our green we visited Grandpa Wally at his new apartment.  We then headed to supper with Colin, Mallory, and my friend Michelle.  The highlight may have been when I knocked over one of the signs as I went to sit down.  :)   After a fun night at Michelle's we got up early and headed to Ellie's first dance competition. We all had fun watching and although they didn't place Ellie said they met their team goals.  Way to go girls!!
