Hockey and Dance

What have we been doing??  Well hockey, dance, and a little more, hockey and dance!  I love watching the kids doing the things they love.  I know I have more photos and videos to maybe someday get on here, but for now hope you enjoy a few random photos!

Ellie and our sweet neighbor girl Aurora- she might love Ellie just a bit

No Shortage of Snow Here!!

This has been one cold and snowy winter.  After getting dumped on 2 weeks ago with more wet, heavy snow than necessary- 9 inches or so, we had heard more was coming this week.  The weather guys estimated 3-5 inches-hmm they may have been a little off.  Wednesday morning we woke up to 10 or more inches of white fluffy snow.  It was sparkly and pretty but really- I have had enough of winter.   Thanks to living in a great neighborhood and having my own pretty amazing kids the shoveling and snow blowing has been a breeze.   Let's hope Mother Nature remembers that snow in winter is ok, but that this year we do want spring in April and May!

There is a deck somewhere under this-

Just a little mountain to climb if you are hoping to get to the neighbor's yard

Check out the mailbox

It is so fun to back out of the tunnel- oh I mean driveway

Pink Night

Although it is the most crowded game of the season, the kids love going to Paint the Rink Pink.  It is a cancer fundraiser and fun so of course we go.  This year we stayed to watch them auction off players' jerseys.  Sam loved getting to be so close to the ice- ok well touching it of course!  Ellie was shocked at how much money a person could spend on the jersey, and I loved that each Bruins hockey player had his own dance or song to perform as people did the bidding.   The Austin Bruins are an NAHL hockey team that we like to watch.

Wow do they look grown up here!!

Nothing better than getting your feet on the pink ice!

Math Masters of Minnesota

It was a proud moment for this mom to watch her daughter at Math Masters of Minnesota today.  This was a competition of 6th grade teams in the area.  Ellie's team got 4th place!  Love that the girl that thinks math is easy was a part of this.  Her mom never used Math and Easy in the same sentence.  In fact what I probably uses were words such as Hate and Math!  On a side note watching this means quietly observing kids do math problems.  But,  I know she wanted me there so I did stop in and watch a couple sessions of problem solving.
