Yep- it was the first weekend of camping and I left the camera at home. So you can visualize a few of the highlights instead.
*Saturday we head out with the truck and boat, just as it begins to rain.
*We pull in to the Ponderosa camp ground and into Grandma Mary and Grandpa Randy's camper just in time to hear the loudest thunder we've heard in a while.
*We had planned for rain so after lunch enjoyed some inside games. Then the weather kindly improved.
*By 9:00am today the children were in the lake. It was a bit chilly- I loved watching the game of who could get the most wet first. Their facial expressions were great as they got used to the cold
*By 10:00am Dad, Ellie, and Sam were off fishing- Sam is happy to say he caught two fish!
*The rest of the day included a family picnic with much of Randy's family, swimming, visiting with more family and friends.
*Let's hope for some photos from camping trip round two whenever that happens. :)

Spring Dance Show
Time for more dance pictures- Ellie had her spring dance show on April 29. As usual it was great!

| Getting ready for the bun- yep each dance performance requires mom to put in a bun. Not just any bun- you must use a special bun former, a million bobby pins, and then cover it with a bun hair net and of course hair spray. I think I may have finally got the hang of this hair do- it only took 2 years. :) |

Awana's
Sam has spent some Wednesday's the last year with his friend Kenny at Awana's at Faith Church. Sam is at the age where church and prayer do not fit on the priority list. Awana's is a fun way to get the kids into church, prayer, and learning more about God and Jesus. Sam even memorized some scripture-yep he is now smarter than his mom. :)
