Ellie's Face painting Shop
Ellie loves to have shops: grocery store, clothing store, video store, library, and last weekend she even set up her own face painting shop. I must say she was a great artist. We each got to have a design on our face, hand, or arm.
Happy Easter
Spring Break
We just enjoyed a few days off from work. Here are some highlights:
Thursday: Kids and mom had playdate with friends in the morning.
Mom did more homework than you can imagine
Dad bought some more things for outside plus bought groceries ( a job mom hates!)
and even brought home Easter lilies for his wife (yay!)
Ellie had a friend sleep over and Sam even got to stay with them- boy was he happy!
Friday: Mom did more homework
Sam went to a birthday party- so Ellie and mom went shopping for a bit
Dad fit in time for work and football meetings (you can never start planning for a win to early)
Saturday: Dad smoked brisket (Yummy)
Kids played outside and may have asked dad more questions than necessary
Mom did homework along with shopping for a new shirt.
And lets not forget the annual Easter egg coloring: with words such as Super Mom or Ellie
Rocks written on them.
Sunday: It's time to celebrate Easter: hope the bunny comes, Church, and a family dinner in Rochester.
*As you can see we can fill up our days whether at home or work but it sure was fun to all be together. I'm thrilled I have almost all of my assignments for college done. In just a couple of weeks my post will say- College is done! Until then- Happy Easter and Happy Spring (I hope- that season is finally here)

A Little Too Much Water
Although I believe GF now has more water, the kids experienced a bit of Granite Falls flooding last weekend. They were quite amazed by the dam. We were able to walk on the walking bridge with water almost right underneath- no pictures as that was a little too much for Sam to handle. Note- if Grandpa was nearby all was well. Once again- Grandma was with us but not in the pictures. Maybe our next visit we can include her in our photos. :) Oh- you may be asking why is my dad holding a paper guy- well "Flat Ben" was touring Granite Falls with us before he was sent back to his owner in Iowa. The kids thought it was great to have him a long.
Making Waffles with Gramps
Last weekend the kids and I finally were able to make it to Granite Falls.(Hadn't been there since Christmas). On Saturday Ellie and Grandma baked delicious apple dumplings- and I didn't get the camera out. On Sunday the camera was out as Grandpa, Sam, and Ellie made waffles and eggs for brunch. Sam also learned what brunch means and debated whether breakfast for supper should be called "brupper."

It's the Circus
As you watch this video watch the lion on the end in the blue shirt. Yep- it's Sam. He was so excited to be a lion in his after school care's Kindergarten Circus.
