It was a big weekend for Sam.  It was his very first tailgating experience.  When I asked him his favorite part of the day tailgating or football game he smiled and said, "both!" Ellie and I enjoyed an afternoon with my grandparents while the boys were at the game.  Then my parents took us all out for supper- Thanks mom and dad!  Some of use even splurged on dessert and yep Sam basically ate that whole piece of cheesecake.
Just a a little tailgating with Uncle Colin, Dad, and Uncle Colin's friends

Will that be enough cheesecake for you??

Happy Halloween

It was the annual Eyre family pumpkin carving yesterday. I help remove the the pumpkin "guts" while Dave helps with most of the carving. I did help Sam, but knocked out a tooth- bet I won't be helping him again- thanks to dad the tooth was fixed immediately. As for Ellie she did almost all herself and was mortified that it was not perfect. Dad tried to help but no such luck so as you can see no Ellie and her pumpkin photo. All in all it was a fun time- but if anyone knows what to do for a perfectionist daughter Dave and I are up for tips.

This video is from the Just For Kix dance performance before our last home football game. It has been so much fun watching Ellie dance, she loves it and I have seen so her gain so much confidence.

Sam is wearing black shorts and a blue jersey- in the first clip he is the boy with the moves. In the 2nd clip he is the center passing the ball, in the 3rd you will briefly see him run. It was pretty fun to watch as these 6-7 year olds tried to figure out football. I think their coaches had great patience, and well I had fun watching but must admit had a few laughs at what I saw too.

Fall Fun

Saturday morning: Ellie survives getting a tooth pulled, we visit the fall festival at my school, Ellie gets a feather in her hair (yep, a new style), then I think we better get home to clean, laundry etc.  Instead, I get a text "Do you want to go to the Pumpkin Patch?"  Of course we want to go to the pumpkin patch.  So let's not go home.  Instead mom and kids head to lunch at Godfather's Pizza, make it home to let out the dog and regroup before Betsy picks us up for an afternoon of fun.   I think I get caught up in what needs to be done instead of what kind of fun we can have.  Thanks to a friend, we had a wonderful afternoon.  There's always time for the clean, laundry, etc.  :)

A great day for Sam

Not only did Dad make it to a flag football game but so did cousins Maddy and Brittney.  Sam was feeling pretty cool.  Sam even convinced Maddy and Brittney to come to his school to learn about reading that night.  I think he has some of that Kramer family wrapped around his finger.  :)

The Austin Packers are having one of those growing kind of years.  Many of their starters are 10th graders while most teams they play are starting seniors.  This has lead to some heart breaking losses and no wins yet- but the season is not over so we will keep on cheering for a victory!!!   We had a lot of fun watching a pretty decent game and getting to see Ellie cheer on Friday.
