Last Thursday I was able to spend some time with Sam on his last day of preschool. My how time flies. Wasn't he just born??

Monster Truck Show
Sam had the time of his life at his first monster truck show. When I asked if he liked it, he said, I loved it! Thanks Dad and Grandpa Randy for a fun boys day out!

Where are the photos?
Dear Friends and family,
Well spring is just flying by and I haven't updated a thing on here! I thought I'd write to say hello and that yes, I have photos coming soon!
The news of today is that Dave was tenured at Austin Public Schools. That is always good news for a teacher. I have a job for next year but will not be tenured until I earn my special ed. degree. I have survived my 1st year of college as a wife, mom of two, and teacher and only have one year to go for college!!
Sam has only 3 weeks left of preschool and then yes, I have to admit he's going to be in kindergarten. Ellie has only about 4 weeks of 2nd grade left. She is taking assessments this week and says they are horrible!! Poor kid- I must say even as a teacher I hate all the testing our kids have to do!!!!!

Ellie had a very special day last Saturday. She took a special step as a member of the Catholic Church and now receives Communion. She even carried the gifts up to the front of the church with the help of her mom and Godmother. Ellie is excited about being able to take Communion each week and being more involved in her church. She has signed her family up to bring the gifts to the front of the church at regular mass sometimes too. We are so proud of our little girl- even if this is another reminder our baby girl is growing up!

Easter Continued
We had a wonder Easter with some of my dad's side of the family this year. The kids and I posed with Grandma- sorry Grandpa you were watching TV and I had to catch Sam while he would smile. Sam and Ellie were so excited to see the Easter Bunny when we stopped for gas. Sam said, I think he came to our house in the dark and hopped here in the morning. I'm sure he is right. We fit a family photo in before a delicious dinner. Sam entertained all, Ellie had fun with "Jelly Belly" beans, and it simply was a lovely day!

Ellie's Famous Lemonade Stand*Both kids were on the front page of the Austin Daily Harold last Friday for their lemonade stand.
Baseball Fun
It was so fun to have last Thursday and Friday off from school. Thursday was the first hot day of spring. We had fun doing many things outside including dad grilling us supper and eating on the porch.
