So what's new at the Eyre house:
Dave: Ice Fishing quick before the thaw. Last Saturday he, Sam, and the dog even had a fishing adventure. He's also driving a blue dodge ram pick-up. Now yes, it's our truck but so far I've been too wimpy to drive- it looks so big. :) Celebrated another birthday- cake specially picked by his daughter and baked by his son. He also got a Spongebob Square Pants card, from the children- now who would pick that out??
Laura: For anyone who loves paperwork, become an early childhood special education teacher- it never ends!! Oh, but the job is so rewarding: I have kids learning social skills, a child who barely walked last year trying to run, a child who never greeted anyone saying hi to teachers and friends, and the list could go on! I have found a new favorite singer, Sara Groves- she is from MN and so inspirational, I suggest you check her out. Counting down the months until May when college is done!!
Sam: Poor little guy is battling a fever and going to miss his Valentine's party at school. Guess we'll celebrate at home instead! He is starting to read, loves math, and has been asked to be a role model in two different peer groups that teach others social skills! He has gone to his 1st sleepover and had his friend sleepover for the 1st time Friday. He has also started going to "Kids Club" with a friend on Wednesday nights, it's a kids church activity at his friend's church. We are happy he is finally deciding church is a good thing- he is the boy who continues to wonder why he has to say a prayer at supper or even go to church.
Ellie: Just finished her 1st science fair project with her dad. LOVING dance! Found ABC mysteries to be the best chapter books ever and has informed me spelling is so easy she doesn't need to study. She is keeping her social calendar busy with: piano lessons, dance, sleeping over at friends, having friends over, and anything else she can think of to do that is not being bored at home. :)
Just a little note to update you all on the Eyre household. Hope you have a very Happy Valentine's Day!
Love Dave, Laura, Ellie and Sam
